The Alanya Fortress rises above the azure waters of the Mediterranean Sea, standing on the majestic cape of the city of Alanya in Turkey. Among the ancient walls, which stretch for kilometers, hide stories of various epochs: from the Romans to the Seljuks. Much of what we see today was built in the 13th century during the reign of Sultan Alaeddin Keykubad I. Since then, the fortress has become a symbol of the power and grandeur of the Seljuk Empire in these lands.
As you ascend to the tops of the fortress walls, a breathtaking panoramic view of the city, beaches, and the seemingly endless sea unfolds on the horizon. Through the centuries, this fortress has served as a defense for the city against enemy invasions, and today it stands as a monument, reminding us of past times and cultures that have left their mark on the history of Alanya.
