Before you stretches one of the most vibrant and memorable squares in Belgrade — Slavija Square (Trg Slavija). In the center of the square, a fountain rises majestically, becoming the main focus of the composition. Its jets shimmer in the sunlight, creating a play of light and reflections.
Around the fountain are scattered permanent and casual visitors of the square: locals hurrying about their business, tourists photographing monuments and buildings, and children happily laughing and playing by the water.
The buildings surrounding the square are a testament to various eras and architectural styles. Some have stood here for many decades, their facades decorated with historical details and ornaments. Others, more modern, add contrast and dynamism to the overall look of the square.
The roads diverging in different directions from Slavija Square serve as a reminder that this square is an important transport hub of the city, a link between different districts of Belgrade.
